9.9This is a great historic hotel that has been updated to perfection. The pool is a bit deep for young children but overall a great location and feel.
Sometimes we get to stay at cool places. The Campbell House Historic Hotel was one of those hotels that just sticks with you.
I first saw this hotel in the Spring of 2017, and of course my first impression was the horse statue. So when my husband said we could stop in Lexington for our trip up to Chicago I knew exactly where I wanted to stay.
The Campbell Hotel is a historic establishment located close to Keenland Horse racetrack.
Everything was lovely. The rooms were smaller as you would expect with an older hotel but the amenities were very nice. And of course, I loved all the equestrian decor.
There was a pool but it was so deep I didn’t feel comfortable taking the kids for a swim. On onsite bar, gift shop, and restaurant rounded out the other amenities. The breakfast buffet was on par with Hilton quality.
I am glad I got to check this hotel off my list. We had a great stay.
